Salad: Caesar Salad Pasta Bowls

Ingredients
Salad Bowl
- 1 pound (453 grams) cooked meat like ground chicken or beef, chicken breast, pork loin, or canned tuna
- 1 package (About 400 grams) bowtie pasta or any other type of pasta
- 1 large head romaine lettuce, washed
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- ½ cups slivered almonds or sunflower seeds (optional)
Dressing
- ¾ cup mayonnaise, preferably low fat
- ½ teaspoon mustard
- 1-3 cloves garlic, minced or ¼ - 1 teaspoon garlic powder (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar
- ¼ cup water
Prepare a big bowl for a meal or potluck or make up small bowls for lunches on the go. Try the homemade salad dressing or simply use 1 cup of store bought dressing, preferably low fat.
Directions for Preparation
- Cook meat.
- Boil pasta according to package directions and drain.
- Cut the romaine into thin slices.
- Make the dressing by stirring together the remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
- On the bottom of the bowl place the pasta. Add the lettuce layer then the meat. Sprinkle on parmesan cheese then the almonds or sunflower seeds.
- Lastly drizzle on the dressing. Stir together right before serving.
