Salad: Dorito Chip Salad

Ingredients
Dorito Chip Salad is always a hit. This recipe is a lighter version than the original but still loaded with flavors and textures for a perfect crunch!
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, washed and the cut into small pieces
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- ½ small onion, chopped finely
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 pound ground beef or ground chicken, browned & drained well
- 1 bag (around 200 grams) Nacho Cheese Doritos, crushed
- 1 cup Catalina dressing
- ½ to 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)
Directions for Preparation
- In a large skillet, brown the ground meat while breaking the larger pieces of meat into smaller pieces. Drain the grease and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix the browned hamburger together with lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and cheese. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Right before serving, stir in the dressing, chili powder and the Dorito chips.
