Main Course: Mozzarella Mushroom Burger

Ingredients
Level up your BBQ burger into gourmet version filled with caramelized onions, mushrooms, and melted mozzarella cheese.
- 8 burger patties
- 8 Burger buns
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 packages (227 grams) mushrooms, washed and sliced
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions for Preparation
- Place the burgers on a hot grill.
- In the meantime, heat a large frying pan on medium heat.
- Add the oil and butter. Once sizzling, add the mushrooms. Let cook stirring often.
- After 5 minutes, add the onion and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook the mixture for 5-7 minutes until the onions are softened and browned.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Keep warm by adding to a plate under foil.
- Once the burgers are about to be taken off the grill, top each patty with shredded cheese.
- Once the cheese is melted, remove burgers from the grill or and place each patty on a bun.
- Top with sautéed mushrooms and onions. Enjoy!
