Main Course: ​Maple Glazed Char or Trout

Ingredients

Maple syrup cooked with fatty fish like char, trout or salmon is the perfect combination.  This is a delicious and easy recipe with ingredients you have in your cupboard.

  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 char, trout, or salmon filets

Directions for Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, stir together the first 3 ingredients.
  2. Gently add in the fish. Gently stir until the fish filets are coated.
  3. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to marinate, stirring halfway though.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400 ° F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  5. Place the fish on the cookie sheet and bake salmon uncovered until flesh easily flakes with a fork, about 20 minutes.
