Ingredients
Is there anything better than cheesy, saucy, meaty pasta? Here is a 1-pot meal that is true comfort food at its finest.
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1-pound lean ground meat
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped or ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 carrots, grated
- 2-3 cups water
- 3 cups tomato pasta sauce
- 1 package (about 400 grams) macaroni noodles
- 1-3 teaspoons Italian seasoning, adjust to your taste
- 1¼ cup shredded cheese
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese
- Chili flakes, optional
Directions for Preparation
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot. Brown the meat and vegetables until the meat is browned.
- Add 2 cups water and the tomato sauce, cover with a lid, and bring up to a boil.
- Stir in the macaroni noodles. Turn down the heat to a low boil.
- Cook for about 15 minutes or until the pasta is cooked. Stir often and If needed, add more water.
- It is done when the sauce should all be absorbed into the noodles and the noodles are done.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the cheese. Serve.
